SESSIONS

CANINE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS

because they deserve to be documented exactly as they are

Every session is built around the actual dog in front of me. Their personality, their energy, the way they exist in the world. Not a shot list. Not a pose. The real thing. I'm a dog photographer serving Carteret County, North Carolina.

From puppyhood to the senior years, I come to wherever your dog is most themselves. Here are the ways we can do it, each different in place, pace and feel, all rooted in the bond between you and your dog.

  • ON-LOCATION

This is where most sessions live, out in the world, in places that mean something.

That might be a wide open beach where a dog can run at full speed into the waves. Woods with soft filtered light and room to explore. A boat dock, the water, the open sky. Or the city itself: streets, brick, old doors, the texture of a town. A city can be exactly where your dog belongs. Wherever your dog is most themselves, that is where we go.

Sessions take place at sunrise or sunset for the best natural light. We move at your dog's pace. No rush, no clock-watching, no forcing moments that are not there.

Have a place in mind, or are you outside my usual area? Reach out with your location and we will talk through the details.

  • STUDIO

Clean. Timeless. Completely focused on the dog.

Studio sessions strip away the distractions and put the full attention on your dog, their face, their expression, the particular way they hold themselves.

Studio is a strong choice for dogs who do better in a quieter, more controlled environment.

  • UPLAND & WATERFOWL

These are not portrait sessions with a gun in the background.

A hunt session is exactly what it sounds like, an active hunt, documented from the inside. The flush. The retrieve. The moment a dog locks onto a scent and everything else disappears.

This is working dog photography. The dogs that live for this are not performing for the camera. They are doing what they were bred to do..

  • LEGACY SESSION

For the senior years. Whether you're celebrating a gray muzzle or facing a hard diagnosis, this is for you.

Legacy Sessions are for senior dogs and for dogs facing a terminal diagnosis.

The session itself is gentle, unhurried, and completely built around your dog's comfort and energy on the day. We go at their pace. If they need to rest, we rest.

Payment plans are available for Legacy Sessions.

BEFORE YOU REACH OUT

YOUR DOG DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT

Too anxious. Too reactive. Too energetic. Not trained enough. Most people hesitate because they're afraid their dog will embarrass them or waste my time. Neither can happen. Your dog has to be themselves. That's the only requirement. Tell me everything when you reach out, and we'll build the session around what works for them.

SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY LASTS

Your phone holds thousands of images. Most of them will never be printed. Most of them will never be seen again after the day you took them.

The framed canvas you pass every morning, the one that makes you smile and takes you right back to that day. The album that tells the whole story of your dog, every bit of personality that only you understand. That is what the session is for.

I absolutely loved our dogs photos and how Jennifer captured his personality so perfectly. She was wonderful with my dog, made him feel comfortable, and was so efficient while taking the photos. I’m so happy to have these special pictures of our boy that we’ll cherish for years to come. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful pet photography!
