PET RESCUE & WILDLIFE

REHAB PHOTOGRAPHY

giving back

EVERY ANIMAL DESERVES TO BE SEEN FOR WHO THEY ARE,
NOT WHERE THEY ARE.

A better photograph can change how the world sees a shelter animal. Out of the kennel and into the light, their personality shows up, and sometimes that’s what gets them noticed.

I give my time and my camera, at no cost, to approved shelters, rescues, and wildlife rehab and conservation organizations. Sometimes one photo changes everything.

WHY I CAN SO

DEEPLY ABOUT THIS.

I am an animal photographer, yes. But more than that, I am a lifelong animal person who believes they deserve dignity, patience, and a chance.

Rescue photography is not about creating "perfect" animals. It is about showing real ones.

The serious ones.
The goofy ones.
The shy ones.
The quiet ones.
The resilient ones.

EVERYONE OF THEM IS WORTHY OF A HOME, OR A SECOND CHANCE.

FOR SHELTERS AND RESCUES

Individual portraits of each animal, calm handling for the nervous ones, and edited, web-ready images for your adoption listings and social media. I work with nonprofit shelters and rescues that have their paperwork in order.

WILDLIFE REHAB AND CONSERVATION

THE SAME PATIENCE,

A WILDER SUBJECT.

I work with wildlife rehabilitation and conservation organizations, and I bring the studio to them. Fine art portraits on a dark backdrop, lit and finished the way I’d treat any client, so the animal gets all the attention and all the dignity. I also shoot documentary-style when the story calls for it. The images are yours to use for fundraising, sponsorship, print, and education.

SUPPORT THE MISSION

Sponsorships fund toys, treats, editing, equipment, travel, assistant fees, and promotion, so more animals get seen. A sponsorship can support any shelter, rescue, or rehab, and any animal.

ART THAT GIVES BACK

MORE WAYS to GIVE BACK

Rescues and shelters can always use more hands, and one of the easiest ways to help is to love a good photograph. When a portrait of a local dog ends up in a book, on a gallery wall, or on a calendar, it raises money for the animals still waiting.

That’s how Tails of the World: Volume Three (2024) sold out. It’s a collaborative international book of local dog portraits, and everyone who picked up a copy helped raise money for rescue charities like Misplaced Mutts. Thank you. The gallery wall of metal prints at K9 Corner Boutique in Morehead City did the same, with dogs from all around the Crystal Coast hanging side by side.

Calendars are a favorite, too. Local rescues have used fundraiser calendars to turn their dogs into funding, and K9 Storm of the New Bern Police Department took the center spot on the cover of the 2026 Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. national calendar.

Silent auctions and galas count as well. Have an idea for helping a rescue or rehab near you?
