sessionsEQUINE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS
for the bond between a horse and the person who loves them.Every session is built around your horse, your property, and the story worth telling. I'm a horse photographer on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, and I come to you: your barn, your pasture, the arena, the places your horse calls home. Studio portraits on a black or white backdrop. On-location sessions in golden light. You in the frame, or just them.
Whatever we choose, the goal is the same. Artwork that belongs in your home and carries that relationship forward.

ON-LOCATION
Your horse, in their world. On your property, at your barn, wherever they live their life.
Out in the pasture. Along the fence line. In the arena. In the golden hour light of an early morning. The places that are part of the story, not a backdrop chosen for looks.
We follow your horse. Natural light, natural environment, the personality and presence in front of me. We move through the property and shift with the light. A place they love or a routine that matters? Tell me in planning and we'll build it in.
Want to be in the frame? We do that too. The communication, the trust, the quiet that doesn't need words. Some of the strongest images aren't the action shots. The forehead against the neck. The hand on the shoulder. The stillness after the ride. Horse alone, the two of you together. We cover both.

STUDIO
Timeless. Editorial. Completely focused on the horse.
A classic black or white background strips away every distraction and puts the full attention on your horse. Dramatic. Enduring.
The kind of portrait that works in almost any home and never goes out of style.
The studio comes to you. I set up at your property or barn, so your horse stays in their own world. No trailering. No unfamiliar place.
Just clean light, a controlled setup, and your horse exactly as they are.
Black is bold and sculptural, a study in form and presence. White is softer, more classic, and just as striking. We'll choose together in planning, based on your home and your horse.

LEGACY SESSION
For the horse who has given you years. Whether you're celebrating a senior or preparing to say goodbye, we go at their pace.
Legacy Sessions are for senior horses and for horses facing a terminal diagnosis.
We photograph at your barn, in the pasture, or wherever your horse is most at home. The session is gentle, unhurried, and completely built around your horse's comfort and energy on the day. If they need to rest, we rest.
Payment plans are available for Legacy Sessions.

head halters and equipmentSAFE NOW, GONE IN THE FINAL IMAGE.
Just like a leash on a dog, equipment that keeps your horse safe and comfortable during the session does not have to be part of the final image. Head halters, lead ropes, handler equipment, all of it can be removed in post. Your horse's final portraits will show them exactly as you want to remember them.
INVESTMENTSOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY LASTS
Your camera roll is full of your horse. The barn aisle, the trail, the arena at sunrise. Almost none of it will ever be printed, and most of it will never be seen again after the day you took it.
A framed portrait in the entry. A canvas over the mantel. An album of the pasture, the fence line, the quiet after the ride. Artwork that carries the relationship forward.
